The Beginning of Time
At the beginning of time, in a parallel universe, there were three spirits of the sun: the green spirit of Summer, Ah; the red spirit of Autumn, Ro; and the blue spirit of Winter, Mi. Together, these three—Aromi—formed the earth and its moon. Loving all they had made, they desired to give a special gift. And so, they intertwined their luminous red, green, and blue essences to bring forth Spring, a spirit who was as white as the snow.
Mankind’s Origin & Role
From the moon’s ethereal embrace, celestial beings descended to this newly formed Earth, their arrival marking the dawn of a new era. These Moon people, untouched by evil, lived in a beautiful alliance, their purpose to nurture and govern the new world. For centuries, the earth flourished in peace, but as time wove its threads, a sinister allure of power over nature and the cosmos came to tempt them all.
The Fall of Mankind
A few veered from the righteous way, their transformation from guardians to harbingers of chaos marked by a descent into havoc. Once protectors, their hands now summoned cataclysmic earthquakes and unleashed ferocious hurricanes. In their ruthless quest for total domination, they ravaged the land, slaughtering countless creatures and igniting vast forests. Every step they took left behind a blazing inferno of destruction.
Hearing the Earth’s mournful cries and witnessing the extent of the devastation, The Spirits of Aromi intervened. They stripped all divine power from the celestial beings, condemning all those who had transgressed to mortal existence. After death, these fallen Moon Sages were doomed to eternally relive the pain and suffering they had inflicted upon the world.
As time wore on, evil kingdoms rose and fell, casting the world into an age of tyranny and darkness. During these troubled times, The Spirits of Aromi summoned most of their celestial children back to the moon to be with them. Yet, moved by compassion for the fallen, Aromi sent a group of Moon Sages to Earth, entrusting them with the hope of humanity’s salvation.
The First Covenant of Aromi
Each sage was given a spirit-jewel, crafted from the sacred soil of their Celestial Realm, which they wore as radiant moonlight headpieces on their foreheads. These luminous Moonstones, prominently displayed on their brows, served as portals to the moon's spirit world, enabling the sages to commune with The Spirits of Aromi on behalf of the people. True Love was the key unlocking salvation's door, offered to mankind by The Spirits. This formed the first covenant between The Spirits and humanity.
The First Salvation Rituals
Every winter solstice, an immortal sage would return to their Celestial home. The identity of the chosen Moon Sage remained a mystery until the time of their departure, as The Spirits' selection was not bound by age or tenure. Throughout the year, people would watch the Moonstones worn by the sages, looking for signs of the gradual illumination that signaled an impending ascension. As the moment approached, the Moonstone of the chosen sage would begin to glow, its radiance growing steadily brighter with each passing day. This gradual illumination served as a sign to the people, alerting them to the impending departure of one of their beloved sages.
When the Moonstone finally shone with brilliant radiance upon the sage's forehead, it marked the opening of a celestial pathway visible to all. This yearly event, coinciding with the longest night of the year, drew witnesses from far and wide to partake in the sacred ritual that followed. Loved ones brought cherished keepsakes of those who had passed away since the previous winter solstice, each item a tangible connection to the departed.
During this solemn ceremony, the names of the deceased were spoken aloud, their memory honored as their keepsakes were presented. As each name echoed through the gathering, it was believed that the souls of these departed individuals would journey with the Moon Sage to the Celestial Realm, guided by the power of remembrance and love.
This ritual was an invitation to redemption and new life for all mankind. Those in attendance who truly repented and believed in their hearts were promised a journey to the moon after their passing. They would be reborn into the moon—cleansed, forgiven, and restored to their former glory. People came from far and wide to experience this promise of salvation and new beginnings.
However, the sages' sacred wisdom was despised by evil kings who, envious of their immortality, imprisoned them, burned their writings, and banned their teachings. For centuries, this darkness prevailed until, in one such kingdom, a young prince discovered a hidden truth that would change everything.
